Call Girl 2014 (Short Film) - REVIEW

I recently attended Horrorhound Weekend in Cinncinnati, Oh where they were screening movies all day for 3 days.  Among one of them was a short called Call Girl.  I however did not get a chance to view it (had to be in line for a Bruce Campbell photo op).  The director Jill Gavargizian was gracious enough to send me the screener and let me view the short film.  Having heard nothing but good things from this film I was more than excited to finally be able to view this.

"In one man's attempt to exploit his date night via video-chat, he ends up sharing something far more disturbing". - Official IMDB Synopsis

It truly amazes me how some short films are able to fit so much of a story in such a small amount of time.  Call Girl is only just over 5 minutes long but 5 minutes is more than enough time to tell this story.  The film itself is like looking through a webcam, which I kind of liked.  We are the audience and we are seeing this mans date with a call girl as it is happening.

Probably the strongest point of this film is the 2 stars of the film: Laurence Harvey, and Tristan Risk.  Laurence Harvey is famous for Human Centipede II and Tristan Risk played the brilliant Role of Beatress in American Mary.  They are both accomplished actors and the job they do in this is nothing short of fantastic.  I would give Call Girl 7 out of 10 stars.  Definitely a short that you need to see.  Stay Twisted Everyeone!
