Synopsis
This Anthology film deals with deadly spirits, back from the grave with vengeance in mind. Myles Brandt is a Horror fiction fan that wanders into a mysterious bookstore in search of something different. He finds a book and in the corner of this bookstore begins to read three tales of supernatural horror.

From Filmmakers Richard Stoudt and Laurence C. Holloway comes a terrifying film experience called “Voices from the Grave”. Three tales of terror, including one story adapted from the work of master horror writer Gary Brandner author of “The Howling”, to make your flesh creep and your heart race!

“Invitation” based on a short story by Gary Brandner, tells the creepy tale of Len Krager, a life loser who attends a party he’ll never forget! “All Hallows’ Eve” is an exercise in suspense and atmosphere set on an eventful Halloween night. Robert Mundy is bitter since the accidental death of his brother, who returns as a vengeful ghost, seeking retribution. In the turbo-charged yarn “Re-Possessed”, we find young Jeff purchasing a killer car for a killer deal…not knowing the car wants his body and soul!

A true exercise in style and terror, ‘Voices from the Grave’ will thrill any horror fan.

Director’s Statement
Director’s Richard Stoudt and Laurence C. Holloway have taken their love of Horror and collaborated on the anthology film ‘Voices from the Grave’. Choosing suspense and atmosphere, over gory shocks, both film makers set out to make the kind of film they would want to watch.

Battle Apocalypse Available on DVD Today

The award-winning post-apocalyptic zombie film Chrysalis, following a successful run at film festivals across the country, will be released in North America as Battle Apocalypse by Barnholtz Entertainment via Cinedigm. It will be available for purchase on DVD starting on February 24, in addition to its already-available digital form.

Funded entirely by Kickstarter donations and serving as a prime example of the new wave of crowdfunding sweeping the indie film community, Battle Apocalypse is a showcase for Glass City Films, the award-winning Chicago-based company, and for the incredibly talented cast and crew available in the Midwest, including award-winning actors Sara Gorsky (BestActress: NYC Horror Fest, Tucson Terrorfest, Miami SciFi Fest, NOLA Horror) and Cole Simon (Best Actor: Trail Dance Film Festival). Glass City Films founder and Battle Apocalypse director John Klein says, “We’ve had an amazing groundswell of support, first through the Kickstarter campaign and now out on the festival circuit. We have always put Midwest talent onpar with what’s available on the coasts, and this film really showcases what we have to offer here.”

Cast on the surface as a zombie-centric horror film, Battle Apocalypse – produced in association with Huckpoten Entertainment and written and lensed by Ben Kurstin – soon revealsitself to be more about the drama of survival in a harsh world than the guts and gore traditionally associated with the genre. As viewers follow Josh (Simon) and Penelope (Gorsky)through a post-apocalyptic world decades removed from the outbreak of an infection, the most terrifying aspect for audiences will be the snapshot they see of the future their cities mightencounter. When the nomadic duo rescue the mysterious Abira (Tanya Thai McBride) and slowly determine what secrets she may or may not be hiding, the true terror begins.

As Chrysalis, the film is already available on VHX at www.TheRestAreDead.com and on Vimeo On Demand for streaming or purchase. The film has won several awards and screened atdozens of film festivals, including the Wasteland Film Festival, the New York City Horror Film Festival, and the NOLA Horror Film Festival. Beginning February 24, Battle Apocalypse willbe available at various retailers in-store and online, including Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon.com, K-Mart, and Movies Unlimited, and several others. Both available versions includebehind-the-scenes features.

Klein says, “We were incredibly ambitious from start to finish with this project. We believed in Ben’s great script and story, and knew we could do the film at a certain cost and make itlook amazing regardless of the bottom line. And we’re so proud and honored that Barnholtz Entertainment recognized the quality of our film and saw fit to give it a wider release through Cinedigm!”

Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort 2014 - REVIEW

I am a pretty decent fan of the original Wrong Turn movie.  It had a good plot and a good cast to support it.  I declined to see any of the sequels up to part 6 but for some reason this one intrigued me.  It may have been because of all the controversy surrounding the movie once it was released or maybe I just thought this is part 6, if they keep making them it can't be all that bad.  Since it's release last November it has been pulled from the shelves due to using a picture of a real missing woman who turned up dead.  Not a really smart move if you ask me.  I was able to snag a copy a couple weeks ago and am finally sitting down to watch this.  Hope I am pleasantly surprised!

Danny (Anthony Ilott) and his friends make a trip for the weekend to check out the spa resort that Danny has inherited.  Danny doesn't know much about his family but he is about to find out.  The resort is looked after by brother and sister Jackson (Chris Jarvis) and Sally (Sadie Katz).  The group is in for a weekend they are never going to forget.

Let's see here where do I start on this enormous pile of shit.  First I am going to start with the fact that the production team can't tell the difference between part VI and part 6.  My blu ray case clearly states 6 but the title screen at the beginning of the film and the end says VI.  What the fuck man!! I suggest before putting a movie out you decide what the fucking title is, dumbshits.

The acting in this movie is nothing special.  I really didn't think it was terrible but it is definitely shotty.  Actually noone is really worth mentioning as a standout performance here.  To hide the fact that the story kind of sucked and the acting was subpar they just had alot of people fucking throughout the movie.  Trust me, I am all in for some T and A but it has to be done tastefully and it was a bit overdone here.

The last thing that really bothered me here were the 3 inbred killers in the woods.  Their makeup for their deranged faces are just aweful.  On one of them you can actually see his real skin around his eyes and looks fake and just bad.  I know these actors aren't really mangled like the characters but at t least make it look believable.

Well as you can tell this one is not going to get a very high mark.  I would rate this one 3 out of 10 stars and I think I'm being very generous here.  As always, stay twisted everyone!

Trophy Heads 2014 - REVIEW

Being the fan of Full Moon Pictures that I am, I was really excited for this to be released on DVD finally.  Trophy Heads is a Full Moon 6 part mini series that premiered on their streaming service last year in the separate installments.  They took all the episodes and edited into one movie.  Full Moon always manages to pull off a lot of cheesy fun with their films but their more recent films have really been hit or miss.  With a cast full of scream queens from the 80's and 90's what could go wrong??

Max (Adam Noble Roberts) is an obsessed fan of horror movies and the scream queens who played in them.  He is depressed that they get older and the movies that they appeared in are eventually forgotten.  Max and his Mom (Maria Olsen) set out to kidnap his 6 favorite scream queens: Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, Michelle Bauer, Denise Duff, Darcy DeMoss and Jacqueline Lovell.  He forces them to reenact scenes from their movies as he attempts to kill them and cut off their head for a hanging trophy. Will this all fold out the way he expects?

I really expected a lot from this movie with the awesome cast that is in it and I was not disappointed at all.  Charles Band really out did himself this time and made a slam dunk.  Everything about this movie is a fun old fashion slasher film.  What really makes this movie great was the talented cast and the ability to still be able to steal the show.  I'm a fan of everyone of these ladies and they do not disappoint.  There are even a few cameos that you may recognize also.

All in all if you are looking for a good horror film that is a blast to watch, look no further and pick this one up.  It would be kind of cool if they could do another one like this and have 6 more scream queens to kidnap.  I would be all in for that.  I would have to give this one 7 out of 10 stars.  Definitely worth the price of purchase.
