Lea Michele's Hester goes Hannibal Lecter in Exclusive Scream Queens Clip

We didn’t see much of Lea Michele’s Hester in last week’s Scream Queens premiere. Well, now we know why.

EW has an exclusive sneak peek at tonight’s installment of Queenswhich finds the Chanels (Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd), Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), and Denise Hemphill (Niecy Nash) visiting Hester in a maximum security prison.

In a nod to The Silence of the Lambs, the women attempt to get Hester to take them inside the mind of this seasons’s killer, The Green Meanie. And she seems to know a fair amount about this new murderer and his/her motives.

J.R.'s Top 5 list of Horror Movies for 1987

The late 80's hold a special place for me because it was when I started watching horror movies.  I may have only been 7 or 8 but I knew what was a good movie.  1987 looking at the list of horror movies released, I am finding it really hard to pick just 5.  Love the picks or hate them, this is my top 5 of 1987.

The Prom Night sequels are guilty pleasures of mine.  Prom Night II is so much fun you can't help but  have a blast watching it.  True it does not have anything to do with the original and does not star Jamie Lee Curtis but it is a great watch and I highly recommend it!

The follow up to the anthology horror success of Stephen King and George Romero is my number 4.  I could watch this movie probably once a week and never get tired of it.  It has just the right mixture of cheese and just good horor.  There are only 3 stories on this one opposed to the original that had 5 but it does not lack in quality.

This great film I really did not see till much later.  Mainly because the movie poster and the previews freaked me out when I was little and I was too terrified to see it.  I am a sucker for killer doll movies like this and Puppetmaster.  Guy Rolfe is such a great actor too.  His performance is one of the reasons I love this movie.

I am not a huge fan of vampire movies but this is one of best in my opinion.  Packed with a cast of young and virtually unknown actors at the time makes this movie so enjoyable.  I have to mention also that Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander will be appearing at the Twisted Tails Film Festival hosted by Twisted Central.

This film has to be my number 1 for 1987.  Not only is it the best out of the franchise in my opinion but it is also the first horror movie that I ever watched.  This movie started it all for me.  It totally scared the shit out of me at that age but I still loved it and Freddy Krueger.

The Top 5 Horror Moves of 1980

The year was 1980 and with the success of the independent movie called Halloween the horror scene was about to take off in full force.  Other than that it was also the year this writer was born.  I know I know I just gave away my age.  Here are my picks for the top horror films of 1980.

Jamie Lee Curtis was well on her way to becoming a horror scream queen.  1980 was a pretty big year for her with the release of 3 movies in the horror genre, this being one of them.  Oddly enough though this is the only one that made my list.

How can you not love this Cheezy batch of fun?  I only saw this movie last year and absolutely loved it.  The folks at Scream Factory has just announced the collector's edition Blu Ray that will be coming out later this year.  Well deserved this classic gets the Blu Ray treatment.

Maniac is not a movie I watch very often but it does have my favorite death scene of any horror movie.  For me the scene when Joe Spinell jumps up on the hood of the car in slow motion and unloads the shotgun on Tom Savini is awesome.  You really can't go wrong when Tom is at the helm of the effects.

I really could not make a list about movies in 1980 without including this classic.  One of the few movies that when I first watched it really creeped me out as a kid.  Jack Nicholson is really at his madman best in this film and still to this day is one of the best horror movies ever made.

No surprise here!  My top horror film of 1980 is Friday the 13th.  One of the films that helped start the slasher craze.  Almost picking up were Halloween left off the year before.  While this is not my favorite of the Friday franchise it still deserves to be at the top of this list for being one of the films that started it all.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1983) - REVIEW

It really depends on who you talk to this is either the best of the Halloween series of the absolute worst.  This one is definitely the unique one of the franchise.  Mainly because it lacks anything to do with the previous movies and having said that there is NO Michael Myers or Laurie Strode for that matter.  Up till this movie When you thought of Halloween you thought of Jamie Lee Curtis.  It seems part II would be her last Halloween film, well at least until H20 was conceived.

We start with Harry Grimbridge (Al Berry) being chased by some cars and he is running for his life.  He runs into the local gas station and collapses.  The attendant takes him to the emergency room were Dr Challis (Tom Atkins) takes a look at him.  Harry is still gripping on a Halloween mask of a pumpkin head and says "they are going to kill us all".  A short time later while Harry is resting an unknown man in a suit enters the hospital and proceeds to kill Harry and then just walking out the front door and setting fire to his car and himself.  Dr Challis is very shaken up with this being all too weird.  After talking to Harry's daughter Ellie (Stacey Nelkin) the two of them decide to head to the town of Santa Mira where they make the masks he was clutching onto.  Santa Mira is a small almost deserted town except for the big mask factory called Silver Shamrock.  The longer they stay in Santa Mira the more they are in danger.  Will they make it out alive?

The first time I ever heard of this movie was watching Monster Vision on the USA Network with Joe Bob Briggs.  I had never seen this movie at this point and was excited because I was already a huge fan of Michael Myers.  Right before the movie started Joe Bob mentioned that this sequel had nothing to do with the original two and there was no Michael or Jamie Lee.  I was immediately disinterested and went to bed instead of staying up to watch this.  It was not till about ten years later when I finally watched this film because it was at a local grocery store for 79 cents.  I ended up loving the film and the rest is history.

One of the things I really like about the film is how original the story is.  If only they would have named this movie something different so that it wasn't overshadowed by the Halloween franchise it really would have been better off.  As it is now and as I said above the views of this film is a mixed bag.  You either like it our you hate it. In my case I loved it.  I even love more that Scream Factory brought it to Blu Ray last year full of special features.  If you are a fan of the film you owe it to yourself to pick up the Blu Ray not only are the special features excellent but the film itself looks gorgeous.  I would give this movie 8 out of 10 stars.  Stay twisted everyone!

Halloween II 1981 - REVIEW

Two years after John Carpenter changed the face of Horror forever with the original Halloween, comes the sequel that picks up right were the original left off.  All the main cast returning, well the ones that survived anyway.  Most importantly the William Shatner masked killer is at it again after being shot by Dr Loomis in the first installment.

Picking up were we left off 2 yrs prior, Dr Loomis (Donald Pleasence) just shot Michael Myers (Dick Warlock) 6 times.  Michael got up and walked away from the front lawn not to be found.  Dr Loomis is sure to find him again with the help of Sheriff Brackett (Charles Cyphers).  The Sheriff gets bad news though that the house across the street from were Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) had it out with Myers, was the dead body of the Sheriffs daughter.  Michael now thought to be dead due to someone looking like him being hit by a car.  Dental records do show otherwise, and yet again the manhunt starts for Michael.  Michael makes his way to the hospital Laurie is in and looks to finish what he started earlier that night.

The one thing about this movie that sticks out is the fact that it moves at a much faster pace than the original.  Don't get me wrong the original is awesome but it did drag at times and took a while for Michael to really get going.  The soundtrack on this is essentially the same.  That's a good thing, the Halloween theme song is one of the most notable jingles in Horror movie history.  On a creepy scale of 1-10 the soundtrack gets an 11.  So eerie and spooky, it really depicts what Halloween is all about.  All of the characters that survived the original are in this one in some way, shape or form with some new added faces mainly the hospital staff.  I do think the acting in this movie is fairly cheesy but not really in a bad way.  I thought everyone did a stand out job, especially Donald Pleasence who is always so good.

This installment in the long running Halloween series is my favorite.  I do like them all but this one always stood out to me as the best.  I love the faster pace from the first one and how the story kinda takes a twist toward the end.  I could probably mention it because I'm sure everyone reading this has seen this awesome movie, but in the interest of no spoilers I will not.  I did just pick up the Blu Ray just released by Scream Factory with the TV version of it.  It had been a long time since I had watched the TV version and I loved every minute of it.  If you haven't seen this movie and you are a Horror fan, well then shame on you.  I highly recommend this for Halloween night viewing.  Stay twisted everyone!
