"The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol" follows the disappointing life of struggling actor Tommy P, who has turned his back on family and friends to pursue his dream of stardom. When he finally hits rock bottom, Tommy seeks solace in a penis pump and finds himself in a fantasy world where he pursues bloody vengeance against those who've put him down.

In "El Monstro Del Mar", three gorgeous but deadly hired killers hole up in a small beachside community to keep a low profile. But this town has a dark secret. Now with an old fisherman and his beautiful granddaughter, they must fight for their lives against this furious creature of the deep as the sea rises in a tidal wave of blood.

"Provocative Docs" will feature three illuminating documentaries, "American Jihadist," "Dirty Pictures" and "Mind of the Demon: The Larry Linkogle Story." Though the details of his past are murky, Isa Abdullah Ali claims to have killed more than 150 people in the fight to defend his faith. in "American Jihadist." Through his own words and those of family members, psychologists and political experts, this award-winning documentary attempts to decode the social and personal influences that can lead an individual down a path to radicalism.
"Dirty Pictures" uncovers the life's work of Alexander "Sasha" Shulgin, the scientist behind more than 200 psychedelic compounds - including MDMA, more commonly known as Ecstasy. Considered to be one of the greatest chemists of the 20th century, Sasha's vast array of discoveries have had a profound impact in the field of psychedelic research, making him a subject of fascination and controversy among fellow scientists and a folk hero to recreational users of psychedelics.

Narrated by Motörhead front man Lemmy Kilmister, "Mind of the Demon" is a morbidly fascinating look into Larry Linkogle's brilliant yet haunted psyche. Through incredible archival footage and interviews with colorful characters and top dirt bike competitors, Mind of the Demon rebuilds the thrilling story of the birth of freestyle motocross. Past and present intertwine and drive Linkogle's story towards two possible conclusions: glorious comeback or nosedive into self-destruction.

Breaking Glass co-President Richard Ross said of the collections, "These box sets truly live up to their names. The Extreme Horror Collection is loaded with gore and violence and the Provocative Docs Collection is both compelling and controversial. Both sets are in beautiful collectors boxes and will make great Holiday gifts for the film lovers on your list."

Wound 2010 - REVIEW

We've all felt it at one point or another. That stabbing pain of guilt or grief. The unabashed desire for retribution that can completely consume you. People will tell you that grief is a natural process and that over time it will subside. But what happens when someone internalizes all those emotions to the point where they can no longer function? When they are so overwhelmed by it that the lines between what's real and what's imagined completely breaks?

A supernatural horror film that explores the dark worlds of mental illness, incest, revenge and death. We follow Tanya (Te Kaea Beri) as she searches for the mother she has never met - Susan (Kate O'Rourke) who gave her up for dead after being abused by her own father. Tanya returns from the dead to confront and possess Susan with all her deepest fears and desires, sending Susan into a state of madness and gore filled retribution. Is all this real or has the line between reality and imagination finally been completely severed?

The best thing about Wound is without a doubt O'Rourke. She conveyed the emotions of a mentally disturbed woman very convincingly. Her pain throughout the entire film seemed genuine and you couldn't help but feel for her character, at least I did anyway. Beri did a fine job as the long lost daughter who apparently picked up some of Mommy Dearest's mental problems in utero. There isn't really much to say about the other characters. Most of them were just there to help demonstrate the intensity of Susan's psychosis. Were they real or were they just part of her imagination? What about Tanya? Did she really exist or was she created by Susan out of the guilt she felt for giving her up? Damn, I think this film drove me nuts!

The one consistent thing throughout Wound is that it never slows down. It plays out at break neck speeds bombarding you with visual components that for the most part don't make sense. This can be a detriment to the film or it can be an advantage, depending on the viewer  I suppose. About 45 minutes in, I was cursing myself for even putting in the DVD so I turned it off and went to do other things to try and clear my head but the more things I did, the more I thought about this film. That's when I realized, I had it all wrong. I was "seeing" it instead of "watching" it, if that makes sense. Ok let's try this, director David Blyth created something that relies heavily on the viewer being able to take a step back from what they're actually seeing and think about the story. It's not a Michael Bay film where you only need the attention span of a gnat to understand it. Parts of it are delivered through surrealistic dream like sequences that require a particular kind of fan to be able to understand it. Not everyone will get it but there is definitely an audience out there for it.

Breaking Glass Pictures Announces DVD Release Date for "Wound"

February 1, 2012 - Philadelphia, PA — Breaking Glass Pictures has announced the March 6 DVD release of the carnage-packed horror film Wound (SRP 24.99). Director David Blyth takes audiences down a twisted rabbit hole where unimaginable horrors become reality. Wound hits hard and shows that the only way to survive is to Beware the Beast!

Legendary director Ken Russell (Oscar-winning Women in Love, The Devils, The Who’s Tommy, Altered States) hailed Wound as a “romantically charged Gothic psycho-sexual horror tale.” He championed the film as a “masterpiece,” pointing out the “gorgeous images and repulsive dream-surgery into the recesses of female consciousness.”

Wound breaks all barriers as it explores the dark worlds of mental illness, incest, revenge and death. The film follows Tanya as she searches for Susan, the mother she has never met – a mother who gave her up for dead after Tanya was brutally abused by her own father. Tanya returns from the grave to confront and possess Susan with all her deepest fears and desires, sending her mother into a state of madness and gore filled retribution. A young woman alone attempts to fight the demons that begin to haunt her days and nights -- in a series of brutal confrontations with the enemies of the past that want to possess and kill her.

“Wound” has shown nationally and internationally in festivals such as Fantasia FF and Fright Fest London. It has been awarded best female performance for Kate O’Rourke, best director, and best film at A Night of Horror International Film Festival. As 2011 came to a close, Wound featured prominently on many horror critics’ “Best Films of the Year” list.

You can watch the trailer here.

The DVD release will come fully stocked with numerous special features such as director David Blyth’s short film “Circadian Rhythms”, and music videos for “Damn Laser Vampires” and “Knot Time”, the official theme song for the film.
