She Who Must Burn Coming to VOD and DVD October 11

Los Angeles, CA - Midnight Releasing has announced the October 11th Cable VOD, Digital HD and DVD release of She Who Must Burn, Canadian cinema provocateur Larry Kent's latest feature. Kent and co-writer Shane Twerdun have crafted a thought-provoking and violent horror story centered around the all-too-real battle between personal choice, state-sanctioned law and religious dogma. She Who Must Burn will be available to rent or own starting October 11th on Dish Network, Cox, Charter, Verizon Fios, DirecTV, iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play, Vudu, XBox and more.

Sarah Smyth ("Cedar Cove", 50/50, "Supernatural") headlines as a healthcare provider at odds with the evangelical family in her small town. When she refuses to stop seeing women in need and even helps a desperate member of their own family (sci-fi icon Jewel Staite, "Firefly", "Stargate: Atlantis", "The LA Complex"), they decide she is to blame for the mysterious deaths in the community and must pay.

She Who Must Burn has been acclaimed by mainstream and horror media since its world premiere at the 2015 Fantasia International Film Festival, where the film took home the award for Best Feature Film. It went on to screen around the world, winning Best Feature Film at Blood in the Snow and sweeping the awards at the Fright Night Festival, taking home Scariest Film, Best Villain and Best Supporting Actress. Modern Horrors raved that "the horror is all in the reality"and FilmFestivals.com declared She Who Must Burn is "a profound, thought-provoking movie that brilliantly speaks about our flawed human nature".

A deadly storm heads towards a small mining village as the local preacher feeds the dark resentments seething in the souls of its citizens. Angela is the only medical resource for women in this unfortunate town where stillbirths and cancer have become disturbingly common. The local preacher and his followers blame Angela for the miscarriages and deaths, and even her Deputy Sheriff boyfriend can't protect her from their wrath. Dark clouds gather as the preacher's followers, infected with religious fervor and inflamed with passionate righteousness, seek to cleanse their community. Those who sin against the Lord must pay.
"She Who Must Burn is strong meat." --Variety

"An extraordinary piece of filmmaking that digs past the headlines which make us shake our heads over coffee in the morning."--Film Thrills

Hell Fire Now Available on DVD and VOD

Midnight Releasing presents Hell Fire, an action packed, blood soaked, roller coaster about inner demons and the Hell that is unleashed upon four prostitutes when they mistakenly kidnap the son of the Devil. The movie is available at rental/retail chains including Family Video and Hastings, as well as On Demand through most major cable, satellite, and internet VOD providers. DVD Extras include audio commentary with the cast and director Marc Fratto, the "No Budget Films of Cinnamon", and plenty of deleted scenes and outtakes!

About the Film
Hell Fire comes from the depths of writer/director Marc Fratto's (Strange Things Happen At Sundown, Zombies Anonymous) twisted and stylized mind. Although the film takes place almost entirely in one remote cabin location there are thrills, horror, gore, and humor around every corner. Extreme stunts, practical makeup, and inventive cinematography put Hell Fire in a league of its own.

Reviews have been highly positive so far, including Fangoria's Michael Gingold who called the film "Outrageously entertaining," and a 4.5-star rating from Film Threat.

Synopsis
Meet the Antichrist. He's been kidnapped during a home invasion by a group of prostitutes who've mistaken him for someone else, and now they're about to find out exactly who they're messing with. One by one the women become possessed by demonic forces and turn on each other. As the bodies begin to pile up, the girls fight for their lives.

Infinite Santa 8000 Official Artwork and VOD Release Date

Infinite Santa 8000 will available on Video on Demand December 1st, 2013. Official carriers to be announced.

About the Film:
Infinite Santa 8000 is the feature length story based on the popular web series of the same name. The original Web Series is 13 episodes long on YouTube which features the same lead characters (Santa, Dr Shackleton, and Martha) but tells a separate story from the film. With a view count of over 720,000 views, the series has garnered a cult following of fans demanding more content. Filmmakers Michael Neel and Greg Ansin, the team behind Midnight Releasing’s Drive-In Horrorshow and the Web Series, decided to give the fans what they want. They took the characters and the universe and have created a full length film with a simple concept: A cyborg Santa Claus killing mutants and robo-people in a vast post apocalyptic wasteland in the year 8000. With a heavy metal soundtrack, the film features epic battle scenes, violent killing, and a 100-Foot Evil Easter Bunny.

Synopsis:
A thousand years ago the world completely collapsed. Not much remains, except for the mutants, scum, and robo-people. Everyone must kill to survive.

Even Santa.

It is the year 8000. War, famine, and disease have ravaged the earth, transforming it into an inhospitable, desolate wasteland. Infinite Santa – half human and half machine – survives any way he can in this bleak world. Despite his tough existence, Infinite Santa still dreams of keeping the Christmas spirit alive by spreading goodwill and cheer to the nice people of the world. But as the years have passed it has become harder for Infinite Santa. Instead of good people, all he finds are evildoers and hideous, no-good robo-mutations.

His one ray of hope is Martha, a robot girl full of the Christmas spirit. He rescued her from a deadly situation, and now she is like a daughter to him. They have a hard life but a good one, living on Santa’s ranch with his robo-reindeer. But Santa’s luck is about to run out. Santa’s arch-enemy, the evil mad scientist Dr. Shackleton, has found Santa again. Shackleton hates Santa and his stupid holiday, and will stop at nothing to uncover Infinite Santa’s mysterious secrets…and then destroy Infinite Santa once and for all. Dr. Shackleton is no fool. He knows how powerful Infinite Santa is, and has built an army to destroy him and Martha. Batsharks, Crabmonkeys, Dragonfly Snakes, Octo-Blobs, and Skin-Bots - and if they can’t kill Infinite Santa, a 100-foot Evil Easter Bunny should do the trick.

This fight will test Infinite Santa to his limits. He’ll need machine guns, flamethrowers, machetes, knives, jet packs, ornament grenades, and everything else in his arsenal just to survive.

Acort International Acquires “Quite A Conundrum” For Worldwide Distribution

Sex, drums, tequila, social networking, a pirate, morning after pills, Jesus and a gun... It's one hot mess!

Acort International, one of the top distributors of independent films in the global marketplace, has recently acquired the dark horror/comedy “Quite A Conundrum” for world-wide distribution. Distribution plans are currently in consideration which will include a North American DVD on the indie-horror label Midnight Releasing and cable/satellite/internet VOD run as well as being showcased at this year’s 2013 American Film Market.

About The Film:
Fed up with having “money people” have too much to say about his hart, writer/director Thomas L. Phillips set out to make a film completely for himself. “This is the movie I felt I needed to make, because I knew that in the fall of 2011, I was set to direct another drama, and I just needed to step back and do something crazy for myself.” So the director of the cult classic SPECIAL dEaD thought about his favorite guilty pleasure films (American Pie, The Hangover, American Psycho and Very Bad Things) and drew upon influence from all of those films to come up with something new that is unique, funny, dark, twisted, sadistic and just downright wrong. The vicious blend gave birth to Quite A Conundrum. After 12 years in Hollywood working as an editor, director and screenwriter, Thomas L. Phillips took himself back to his Southern roots to rejuvenate his passion for storytelling. The end result will make audiences laugh, cringe, scream, cry and think to themselves “Why am I even watching this movie?” but guess what? You will not be able to turn away from it no matter how hard you try!

Quite a Conundrum is currently enjoying a successful festival run so far receiving 21 official selections, 15 nominations and 7 awards. More festival information and the official trailer are available at the official website.

More information on the official release date in the United States is yet to be announced. Official artwork and more news coming soon!

Full Synopsis:
It should have been just a normal day of sex, fun, alcohol, hormones and debauchery for Tabitha and Mimi, two twenty somethings who care about nothing but themselves and what chaos they can cause. But that so-called normalcy gets tossed out the window when an unexpected and devastating event occurs at a nighttime pool party. As the alcohol begins to wear off and the body count rises, all hell breaks loose and there is no going back. As if the foul mouths, perverted attitudes and devious natures of Tabitha and Mimi were not enough, then just throw in Tabitha's walking porno of a boyfriend Sean and his new best friend, the sweet Dutch. Then mix in Mimi's eighteen year old virginal, confused and prudish sister Kylene and her sexually challenged boyfriend Harris, and the events gets even saucier. Then shoot in a splash of the old pervert Marc and his crazy unhinged wife Lola, and then toss in the Bible-thumping Jesus-freak Thelma, and it gets a little more crazy, dangerous, insane and scary.
