Acort International Acquires “Quite A Conundrum” For Worldwide Distribution

Sex, drums, tequila, social networking, a pirate, morning after pills, Jesus and a gun... It's one hot mess!

Acort International, one of the top distributors of independent films in the global marketplace, has recently acquired the dark horror/comedy “Quite A Conundrum” for world-wide distribution. Distribution plans are currently in consideration which will include a North American DVD on the indie-horror label Midnight Releasing and cable/satellite/internet VOD run as well as being showcased at this year’s 2013 American Film Market.

About The Film:
Fed up with having “money people” have too much to say about his hart, writer/director Thomas L. Phillips set out to make a film completely for himself. “This is the movie I felt I needed to make, because I knew that in the fall of 2011, I was set to direct another drama, and I just needed to step back and do something crazy for myself.” So the director of the cult classic SPECIAL dEaD thought about his favorite guilty pleasure films (American Pie, The Hangover, American Psycho and Very Bad Things) and drew upon influence from all of those films to come up with something new that is unique, funny, dark, twisted, sadistic and just downright wrong. The vicious blend gave birth to Quite A Conundrum. After 12 years in Hollywood working as an editor, director and screenwriter, Thomas L. Phillips took himself back to his Southern roots to rejuvenate his passion for storytelling. The end result will make audiences laugh, cringe, scream, cry and think to themselves “Why am I even watching this movie?” but guess what? You will not be able to turn away from it no matter how hard you try!

Quite a Conundrum is currently enjoying a successful festival run so far receiving 21 official selections, 15 nominations and 7 awards. More festival information and the official trailer are available at the official website.

More information on the official release date in the United States is yet to be announced. Official artwork and more news coming soon!

Full Synopsis:
It should have been just a normal day of sex, fun, alcohol, hormones and debauchery for Tabitha and Mimi, two twenty somethings who care about nothing but themselves and what chaos they can cause. But that so-called normalcy gets tossed out the window when an unexpected and devastating event occurs at a nighttime pool party. As the alcohol begins to wear off and the body count rises, all hell breaks loose and there is no going back. As if the foul mouths, perverted attitudes and devious natures of Tabitha and Mimi were not enough, then just throw in Tabitha's walking porno of a boyfriend Sean and his new best friend, the sweet Dutch. Then mix in Mimi's eighteen year old virginal, confused and prudish sister Kylene and her sexually challenged boyfriend Harris, and the events gets even saucier. Then shoot in a splash of the old pervert Marc and his crazy unhinged wife Lola, and then toss in the Bible-thumping Jesus-freak Thelma, and it gets a little more crazy, dangerous, insane and scary.

Acort International Acquires Rabid Love for Worldwide Distribution

Acort International, one of the top distributors of independent films in the global marketplace, has recently acquired Rogue Taurus Productions’ classic 80's throwback horror film “Rabid Love” for international and US distribution. Distribution plans are currently in consideration which will include a North American DVD on the indie-horror label Midnight Releasing and cable/satellite/internet VOD run as well as being showcased at this year’s 2013 American Film Market.

About The Film:
Rabid Love takes place in 1984 and is a rejuvenation of classic films like 'An American Werewolf in London', 'Friday the 13th', 'Evil Dead', and 'The Howling'.
