Antisocial Coming to DVD January 28th

Philadelphia PA - Breaking Glass Pictures, Monster Pictures and Vicious Circle Films are excited to announce the January 28th DVD release of Antisocial. The feature length debut of director Cody Calahan, which has been scaring up impressive reviews on the international festival circuit, Antisocial sees a New Year celebration between a small group of friends turn into a vicious fight for survival when a mysterious viral outbreak forces them to stay indoors.

Five university friends gather at a house party to ring in the New Year. Unbeknownst to them, an epidemic has erupted outside, causing outbreaks around the world. With nowhere else to turn, they barricade themselves indoors with only their phones, laptops, and other tech devices. They use their devices to research the possible cause of this outbreak.

Information and video footage over flow their computers as they descend further into the cause and the ensuing chaos. As the virus spreads, the mood in the house changes from fear to paranoia. Who is safe? Who can they trust? Reality becomes blurred as they slowly discover the source of the virus causing the sickness...and there is no going back.

Hailed by Slant Magazine as a "biting commentary on the often addictive nature of online interaction," Antisocial is also available now on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes and all major broadcast platforms. The DVD release (SRP $24.99) will include a feature length commentary and behind the scenes footage.

Screaming In High Heels Coming to DVD

Philadelphia, PA - Breaking Glass Pictures is proud to announce the August 28 DVD Release of "Screaming in High Heels: The Rise & Fall of the Scream Queen Era" (SRP $19.99).  Edited for its TV debut earlier this year, the unrated DVD of "Screaming in High Heels" chronicles the careers of the original girls of terror as they show that cannibalism, demonic possession, flesh eating, and even chainsaw hookering is all in a days work.

Three girls living in Los Angeles, CA, in the 1980s found cult fame when they "accidentally" transitioned from models to B-movie actresses, coinciding with the major direct-to-video horror film boom of the era. Known as "The Terrifying Trio", Linnea Quigley "The Return of the Living Dead", Brinke Stevens "The Slumber Party Massacre" and Michelle Bauer "The Tomb", headlined upwards of ten films per year, fending off men in rubber monster suits, pubescent teenage boys, and deadly showers.

They joined together in campy cult films like "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama" (1988) and "Nightmare Sisters" (1987). They traveled all over the world, met President Reagan, and built mini-empires of trading cards, comic books, and model kits. Then it all came crashing down. This documentary remembers these actresses - and their most common collaborators - on how smart they were to play stupid.

Featuring iconic directors of the time including David DeCoteau (Creepozoids), Richard Gabai (Nightmare Sisters), Fred Olen Ray (The Tomb), "Screaming in High Heels: The Rise & Fall of the Scream Queen Era" takes viewers through the prime of the "Trio" as they rule the screen with their sex appeal and vocal cords, and ultimately, into their very real demise from the genre that made them blood covered stars.

The unrated DVD release will come with chilling extras to die for, including: bonus interview footage with Linnea, Brinke, and Michelle; and footage from the Flashback Weekend of Horror Q&A session.

Breaking Glass Pictures Announces DVD Release Date for "Wound"

February 1, 2012 - Philadelphia, PA — Breaking Glass Pictures has announced the March 6 DVD release of the carnage-packed horror film Wound (SRP 24.99). Director David Blyth takes audiences down a twisted rabbit hole where unimaginable horrors become reality. Wound hits hard and shows that the only way to survive is to Beware the Beast!

Legendary director Ken Russell (Oscar-winning Women in Love, The Devils, The Who’s Tommy, Altered States) hailed Wound as a “romantically charged Gothic psycho-sexual horror tale.” He championed the film as a “masterpiece,” pointing out the “gorgeous images and repulsive dream-surgery into the recesses of female consciousness.”

Wound breaks all barriers as it explores the dark worlds of mental illness, incest, revenge and death. The film follows Tanya as she searches for Susan, the mother she has never met – a mother who gave her up for dead after Tanya was brutally abused by her own father. Tanya returns from the grave to confront and possess Susan with all her deepest fears and desires, sending her mother into a state of madness and gore filled retribution. A young woman alone attempts to fight the demons that begin to haunt her days and nights -- in a series of brutal confrontations with the enemies of the past that want to possess and kill her.

“Wound” has shown nationally and internationally in festivals such as Fantasia FF and Fright Fest London. It has been awarded best female performance for Kate O’Rourke, best director, and best film at A Night of Horror International Film Festival. As 2011 came to a close, Wound featured prominently on many horror critics’ “Best Films of the Year” list.

You can watch the trailer here.

The DVD release will come fully stocked with numerous special features such as director David Blyth’s short film “Circadian Rhythms”, and music videos for “Damn Laser Vampires” and “Knot Time”, the official theme song for the film.
