First Official Stills from Australian Film Barrow

Perth, Western Australia- (4th March 2014) Australian Film Companies Hometown Pictures and Encryption Films are excited to reveal the first Official Images from Horror Crime film ‘Barrow’.

The film was shot in late 2013 and is slated to premiere this year. The images paint a stylish and harrowing vision for the Western Australian produced film.

Director Wade K. Savage has referred to the film as ‘Silence of the Lambs meets True Detective’. “It’s a really foreboding and tense origin story, with an incredible cast,” Savage commented. “I’m happy we’re now able to reveal these amazing images, as they give us a really good insight into the world we’ve created”.

Producer/Writer Peter Gurbiel added: “It’s exciting to begin throwing around some hints as to what we’ve been up to. As thrilled with the performances and the mechanics of the storytelling that we’ve pulled together, the film just looks so damn gorgeous. This is a great team of some of the country’s brightest young filmmaking talent - we’re suitably proud, and impressed.”

‘Barrow’ is funded through the Film and Television Institute of WA’s LiNK Funding Scheme, with additional production support from ScreenWest.
